Digital Transformation and Marketing Educator & Advisor

Alec Campbell

Working at the intersection of education and business, I oversee the delivery of online executive education programs in digital marketing, digital transformation, and disruptive technologies for MIT, Columbia University, Kellogg School of Management, and Berkeley Haas.

My Goal

To help business leaders come to grips with disruptive digital technologies.

I joined the MBA program at the Wharton School of Business in 1999, just as the dot.com bubble starting expanding exponentially. I interned for a startup that raised and spent $80 million in funding in under 3 years. It was an exciting time, a reality check for the business world, and for me an excellent learning experience,

Great companies, built on solid foundations, don’t become obsolete overnight. They understand the need to evolve, to harness new technologies, defend against disruptive threats, and sometimes transform themselves into the disruptor.

I work with some of the most highly regarded university faculty in the discipline of digital technology and digital transformation.  I help transfer knowledge from faculty research to business leaders through online courses in digital marketing, digital transformation, and disruptive technologies. I’m also developing my thoughts, opinions and ideas in these subject areas. I share these thoughts in my blog.

Please connect with me on LinkedIn or reach out directly via my contact page. I  am available for consulting and speaking opportunities.

Areas of expertise

For the past 20 years, my career and work has been tied to the evolving digital world. I was a digital nomad before the term existed, an expert in SEO when no one knew what SEO meant (not very lucrative!). More recently, I’ve expanded from helping companies incorporate digital into their growth strategies to using innovations in digital technologies to transform all aspects of business operations.
